El Molino Saúco is located in the municipality of Puebla de Don Fadriquein the north of the province of Granada, right in the middle of the Sierra de La Sagra (Special Area of Conservation), at about 1,400 m above sea level, in an environment dominated by Mediterranean woodland, which has recently been approved for classification as a Natural Parkand which is part of the Geopark of Granada, declared a as a UNESCO Global Geopark in 2020.
The Granada Geoparkdeclared a World Geopark by UNESCO in 2020, has 4,722 km2 of 47 municipalities belonging to the regions of Guadix, Baza, Huéscar and Montes, and extends over an exceptional territory in the central sector of the Betic Mountains surrounded by some of the highest mountains of the Iberian Peninsula, such as the Sierra de la Sagra or Sierra Nevada. The geology of the region has conditioned the life and culture of its inhabitants from prehistoric times to the present day.
These are inhospitable lands of singular beauty, which safeguard a significant and unique part of our geological heritage on the European continent, which, with the universal language of rocks, leaves no one indifferent to those who come to learn about its fascinating history. Fountain of the Holes

Autumn in the mountains

Winter in Sierra de La Sagra
Every year, during the winter, there are several snowfalls, mainly between January and February. This is the time to enjoy the warmth of the spacious and cosy interior spaces, the large fireplaces, and the central heating, produced by a biomass boiler from the environment in a sustainable way.
In addition, the blossoming of the estate's almond trees leaves us with some very beautiful images at this time of year.

Your culinary skills were exceptional, and your attention to detail was impeccable. The house itself was stunning, decorated with precision and cleanliness evident in every corner.
Our group of 8 really enjoyed the unique Hammam experience, something rare to find inside a house. The visit to the majestic deer was also part of a package we paid for, and added an extra touch of magic to our stay. Javier's hospitality extended beyond the house when he took us to witness the deer, offering picturesque moments during the sunset. He even stopped to allow us to capture amazing photos and offered to take pictures of our group.
Today, as we sadly left Molino Sauco, we reflected on an experience that was on another level compared to any other holiday destination. We are already looking forward to returning to this exceptional finca. -

The Casa Rural Molino Sauco is a jewel in the middle of nature, meticulously reconstructed. With capacity for 16 people, a spacious living room, Arabic baths, Finnish sauna and stunning exteriors, it far exceeded our expectations. Equipped with private parking, washer-dryer and free WiFi, the house provided a comfortable and rewarding stay.
The Arab baths and spa were unique experiences, as was exploring the Molino Saúco, an old flour mill with a fascinating history. We would like to highlight the exceptional hospitality of the staff, Javier, Margarita and their son Alvaro, who were absolutely extraordinary hosts.
Although the finca is a project of the owner's family, we would like to emphasise that Javier, Margarita and Álvaro are invaluable collaborators who contributed significantly to our positive experience. The owner is fortunate to have such a dedicated team.
In conclusion, despite the distance, Molino Sauco proved to be the ideal destination for a family holiday. We plan to return and continue to build memories in this exceptional place.

Last weekend we celebrated our wedding in this spectacular rural house, one of the best decisions we have ever made. A place full of charm.
It has been a dream weekend. And it has been thanks in large part to Margarita ... More and Javier, the people in charge of the maintenance of the finca. From the beginning they treated us as if they had known us all our lives, friendly, close and willing to help us in everything. Not only did they have the house impeccable, but they also had details that touched us.
- On a previous visit to the rural house, in one of the many conversations, we mentioned to them that we loved the almond trees and their blossoms. Last Friday, when we arrived there, we found several rooms decorated with a pretty little vase of almond blossom branches.
- Thanks to them, we were able to have our photos taken in private places on the estate, next to a fence with horses and in beautiful gardens.
- They decorated a big 4X4 with flowers to make the entrance to the welcome cocktail. Marga made me a bouquet of flowers, a detail that I really appreciate.
- The 4x4 route that Javier organised for us was great. We all enjoyed it, from my nephew to the older ones. Before the departure he explained to us the animals we were going to see (mouflons, mountain goats, roe deer...), the characteristics of their horns, how to know their age through their antlers, etc... It was a pleasure to be so close to the animals.
In addition to all of the above, they were on hand to welcome the crockery hire company, the chef and the waiters. We had to contact them several times, one of them, because the hairdresser needed an extension cord, in 5 minutes Javier was there to help us. We sincerely thank them for all their effort, dedication and care.
And what can we say about the Molino Saúco... A rural house far above the majority. The rooms are impressive, the hot water pool (hamman) is crazy, the rooms have personality and are spacious, the facade and surroundings are very well kept and beautiful. At the foot of the house there is a stream, having a drink sitting in the armchair at the entrance with the sound of running water in the background is priceless. A different and tastefully decorated rural house.
We would also like to thank Omar for the treatment received and the owners of the property for giving us several bottles of wine, made with grapes from their own vineyard.
If you are looking for an intimate and special place to celebrate your wedding, this is the place for you.

We spent Christmas Eve at Molino Sauco and it was a Christmas like a movie.

The children had the time of their lives and we highly recommend the excursion to see the deer.

We went for a family weekend and rented the whole house. Everything was perfect, but the star of the house is the indoor pool...a marvel!!!!
The water is great, the temperature is ideal, the decoration is just right and the light is just right. ... More gave it the final touch. Both children and adults loved it.

This house is SPECTACULAR in every sense of the word: the dimensions, the decoration, the exteriors, the facilities (with an incredible hammam), and the location in the middle of nature, where you can see the deer passing by, is the perfect place to live. ... More air-conditioned where you feel like in an Arab spa).... Every detail, from the kitchenware (very complete and each piece more beautiful), the fireplaces already prepared and the wood oven, the rooms... you can see that it is cared for and worked with care and enthusiasm. The same goes for the owners and all the staff, they are charming and available at all times.
The only bad thing was having to leave.

Wonderful experience! The house is very large, nicely decorated, the Hamman with Sauna is amazing, the common areas both outside and inside are super nice for family meals ... The fully equipped kitchens (best in the world!) and the kitchen (best in the world!) are very well equipped. ... More than at home). The four-wheeled route they offer is highly recommended, and the area (and the farm itself) offers the possibility of hiking activities in the mid and high mountains. Great weekend in the middle of nature. The house is secluded with plenty of space in the surrounding area and close to a river.

-3 lounges or rooms where you can be or have different atmospheres.
Huge wood-burning stove for cooking.
-The rooms and bathrooms are very well equipped and tastefully refurbished.
-Huge Turkish bath and sauna inside the house, which allows you to take a bath at any time without having to go out of the house (this is what we liked the most).
-Treatment of the landlords, including the route we took to see and feed the local wildlife including deer, wild boar...

We spent a weekend there and it was an incredible experience. First the environment, a beautiful landscape in the Sierra de la Sagra. Then the house, with lots of charm and all the comforts. We also went on a trip to the mountains and they let us feed the deer and goats. It was amazing to be so close to these animals.
It is worth mentioning that despite being a remote place in the Sierra, the internet connection in the house is good and I was able to work from there.

We liked EVERYTHING. The house is spectacular and they have taken care of every detail: every room, the different lounges, the bathrooms, the hammam -impressive and a luxury to take a relaxing bath with a very successful Arabian atmosphere-, the hammam is a real luxury. ... More and charming exteriors designed to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
The natural environment in which the farm is located is unbeatable. The owners and staff are charming and have been attentive at all times. You can tell that they have dedicated time and care to make the accommodation beautiful and their guests have the best possible experience, and they have not skimped on quality and facilities. We have yet to return in winter, because it must also be incredible.
